Wow, I can’t believe a month can go by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday I was tearing my hair out trying to get the site up and running. My poor husband knows the entire extent of the frustration and the various meltdowns along the way. I have learned a lot to say the least! I thought my post tonight should share with all of my readers how the site is really doing. I have a program that monitors my website called Google Analytics. This is a fantastic program that gives me all kinds of information on where readers are coming from, what they are looking at, etc. It is amazing to me just how advanced technology can be nowadays. So far in one month The Art of Dressage has had 176 unique visitors (these are unique addresses/computers) . The site views are about triple that number with 2,526 page views. Most website ratings are based on unique visitors not the number of visits, 176 in the site’s first month isn’t too shabby. Visitors have come from 18 different countries all around the world.

I would really like to hear from the person I had visit from Egypt after my Training Pyramid article, too funny. I get excited each time I see a new country added to my visitor map.

The most viewed page on my site is the Classifieds and Directory page. Let’s face it, people like to shop. Classifieds are one of my favorites to check out on a site as well. I’m a little disappointed that section hasn’t taken off more, but I think it may in time. . I have a feeling people go the page don’t find any content so they don’t add as well. Remember, it is free. I was hoping that section could be useful to generate interest if you have a business, have a horse to sell, trailer, tack, etc. The page is getting quite a bit of traffic so feel free to take advantage of it. I think the ability to put up pictures can be a big bonus also.

One month and 20 posts later, how do I feel? I feel pretty good to tell you the truth. Hopefully you have enjoyed the site and the articles. I have tried to put up a mix and will continue to do so. I have many topics and ideas I am working on right now. If you ever have a topic you would like me to look into, please feel free to fill out the contact form and I will see what I can do. Also, always feel free to post comments, If I don’t know the answer than maybe someone reading will. Hopefully all of us can learn from each other!

Thank you for your support. I’m excited about what the future months may bring!
